My studies on the fatherliness of God are off to a good start. I made some early headway today on Bible Study prep, allowing me to begin some study and reading early on my given subjection of the attribute of God’s fatherhood. I am looking not on merely God being called God the Father, but the fatherliness of God the Father. There is much to share here already, but I wanted to pause early this evening and share an article that was helpful in thinking about God the Father. Michael Reeves writes this,
“there is no God in heaven who is unlike Jesus”
Just that phrase is simply astounding to consider. Reeves turns us to some statements by Athanasius for those who wish to read further.
